The following is the Mitigation Plan for Precision Academy/Midtown High School

  • Any staff feeling sick, regardless of reason, will be required to stay home.
  • Any staff member feeling sick in the middle of the day will be required to go home immediately.
  • Teachers are to have no contact with students.
  • Teachers will not be allowed to congregate with other staff, students, or parents.
  • Teachers will give assigned seats to the students. No exceptions.
  • If a teacher plans to distribute work or papers to students, the teacher will need to have passed out these prior to class beginning, or on an individual basis, so that only one student touches each paper.
  • Students will not hand in work by “passing it up to the front,” and teachers will need to wear gloves when collecting.
  • No group projects or group work will be given by the teachers.
  • Teachers will make sure there is at least 10 feet of distance between every student desk, and any two students at all times.
  • Teachers must schedule regular and frequent stretch breaks into their lessons.
  • Teachers will be asked to make note of any spots that they feel need to be cleaned by the custodial staff, by informing the custodian that day.

Custodial Staff

  • All staff will be required to wear masks while on campus, both inside and outside of buildings.
  • Any staff feeling sick, regardless of reason, will be required to stay home.

  • The registrar will be responsible for wiping down commonly used pens/pencils with Lysol/Clorox wipes immediately after they have been used.
  • The registrar must also wipe down front desk with Lysol/Clorox wipes after each and every time that it is used by anyone.
  • To retrieve a student from class, the registrar will either call the teacher’s cell phone and ask for the student or have an administrator retrieve and walk the student to the front at a safe distance.
  • For the safety of everyone, the registrar, with the help of the administration, will determine if masks are valid.
  • The registrar must make sure that ALL parents and guardians are provided with pertinent information from this document regarding their children, attendance policies, sick student procedures, etc.
  • When registering students, accepting applications for enrollment, or any similar item, the registrar must first speak to the applicant/guardian over the phone to make sure they understand the procedures they must follow when attending the school. The applicants may take the paperwork and fill it out at home. Then they may call to schedule a time to return the paperwork, asking any questions they may have over the telephone.
